Basic Power Factor - The Power Triangle
The Basics; An aircraft travelling from one airport to another will obviously burn more fuel dependent on weight, wind resistance etc. However, the following very simplistic analogy demonstrates how the power triangle works and that the fuel consumed in basic terms is determined by not only distance travelled but also in maintaining altitude.
Taking the previous example we can now start to look at the power triangle in more engineering terms.
